Antique Carved Detailing Mother of Pearl Brooch in Gold and Silver

Such an exquisitely detailed carved Mother of Pearl, showing a scene between a man and women. The surround of the Mother of Pearl is intricate design in Gold with a Gold and Silver halo to accompany. This 17th Century carving looks to have originally been the lid of a box but later in the Victorian era been set into a Brooch so this lovely piece of art can be worn and shown off. A gorgeous antique piece.
